“The Thing”

For fans of horror and science fiction, “The Thing” is a must-see. Archaeologist Kate Lloyd (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) embarks on a journey to the far end of Antarctica for the most crucial research of her life. Joining a group of Norwegian scientists, Kate discovers an intriguing organism that has been living under the ice for billions of years. As the group conducts experiments, the creature breaks free, unleashing havoc. Teaming up with helicopter pilot Carter (Joel Edgerton), Kate attempts to prevent the creature from harming everyone. However, this alien entity Vibrant Events and New Releases, with the ability to mimic anything it touches, starts sowing discord among the team. Directed by Matthijs van Heijningen Jr., “The Thing” is considered a prelude to the 1982 John Carpenter classic.

“Ogul” narrates the gripping tale of two fathers from different regions. In this local film currently in theaters, a young man from the Black Sea region pursues his girlfriend towards the east, oblivious to the ongoing terrorist activities in the country. With no communication for an extended period, his father decides to embark on a journey to find his son Tour Packages Balkan, dead or alive. Meanwhile, another lone father in an eastern village desperately tries to dissuade his son from joining the militants, despite numerous pleas and warnings. Ultimately, the two fathers find themselves connected through the tragic deaths of their sons, who will never have the chance to meet. Atilla Cengiz directs “Ogul,” a film previously showcased at the Montreal World Film Festival.
